Common questions about services
Who does Elaine’s House support?
We support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including autism, who are eligible for services through Pennsylvania’s Office of Developmental Programs (ODP).
How is support paid for?
Services are typically funded through ODP waivers such as the Consolidated, Community Living, or Person/Family Directed Support (P/FDS) waiver. Your Supports Coordinator can confirm what your plan covers. There is usually no out-of-pocket cost for authorized waiver services.
Do I need a Supports Coordinator first?
Yes. ODP services are authorized through your Individual Support Plan (ISP), which your Supports Coordinator (SC) manages. If you don’t have one yet, contact your county intellectual disability office, or call us and we’ll point you in the right direction.
Can we choose Elaine’s House as our provider?
Absolutely. You have the right to choose your providers. Just tell your Supports Coordinator you’d like Elaine’s House, or have them send us a referral using the form on this page.
